Using a psychological approach informed by Non-Violent Resistance (NVR) principles, we aim to help you build better relationships with your child and increase your sense of presence and effectiveness as a parent to help you address the concerns and difficulties you have for your child.

These sessions involve supporting the parent in therapeutic work and intervention with a child or young person. Typical difficulties include concerns around a child’s behaviour, worrying about them getting into trouble or problems with children/young people that are engaging in aggressive, violent, self-destructive or controlling behaviour. As a parent you might be feeling ineffective,  ‘treading on eggshells’ or perhaps you find yourself doing things that are out of character or not in accordance with your values as a parent as things escalate.

Our NVR informed parenting sessions aim to help you raise your parental presence, build on your relationship with your child, and learn how to deescalate situations using new methods and ideas.
