We can offer specialist comprehensive assessment where appropriate for diagnosis, treatment recommendations or a better understanding of your child’s functioning.

This might be with your child, jointly with yourself and your child, or as a family group. An initial meeting will be required to discuss the best approach dependent on the issues you wish us to support you with.

Our bespoke clinic room has child friendly resources and is a welcoming space where you and your child can feel comfortable and relaxed during your sessions.

We use a mix of evidence based therapies with creative and engaging approaches and specialist assessment tools to best support your child. We can liaise with schools and other services if required and can offer a package of support and intervention to have the best impact for your child’s wellbeing, making recommendations and giving advice and support to other agencies involved.

We welcome referrals from parents, schools, social services and residential settings.

Your first appointment may be just on your own to discuss the issues with the professional, or part of the session parent/carer only and part with the child. This will be decided on prior to the meeting depending on the issues and age of your child.

It is most likely the first two to three sessions will include some form of assessment from which the Psychologist will make some recommendations based on a more in depth understanding of the issues at hand.

This may involve therapy, parenting support sessions or advice to professionals or a more comprehensive Psychological assessment.
